Reverend Price, Anatole, and Tata Ndu
For a story told by women, this one is certainly impacted by the men in the book, especially their relationships with one another. What do you think of the relationships established among Reverend Price, Anatole, and Tata Ndu? Do you share any similar experiences with them?

Reverend Price and Tata Ndu are on opposing sides when it comes to their thoughts. Price believes everyone should believe in Jesus and should be baptized, but Tata Ndu believes the people should do whatever they want. Price's aggressiveness towards baptism and salvation scares many villagers which Tata Ndu does not like at all. To express his dislike towards Price's actions he uses Anatole to be his messager man to tell Price what he really thinks about all of this. Then Price also uses Anatole to translate his messages on Sunday morning so the African people can understand. Anatole in the end is a middle man for Reverend Price and Tata Ndu.
I agree with Tyler. Price and Tata Ndu do not get along at all, and Price and Anatole also have their differences. Anatole tried to be the voice of reason between the chief and reverend.
I agree with Tyler also. Price and Tata Ndu do not get along but the reason they do not get along is because of their views on religion.
I agree also. It is obvious that Tata Ndu does not agree with the way Nathan does some religious things. And Danielle has a good point by saying that Anatole tries to be the voice of reason between the 2.
I agree with Tyler too. The reason they do not get along is because they have different views on religion.
Tata Ndu opposes Nathan price because he tries to force people to be in his religion and Tata Ndu does not. Anatole is just the messenge between the two and Ibelive that he is just trying to make both parties happy. he is trying to make Nathan Price happy by helping him with his sermons and Tata Ndu by giving Nathan his messages.
